About Ms. Schmit
I suppose I should spill the beans because I know you'll eventually figure it out: I am a product of Twin Bridges Schools. Despite my background, I hope we can still get along. After graduating from TBHS in 2008, I moved to Missoula to begin my education. While I wasn't initially interested in a career as a English teacher, I eventually looked to teaching, mainly because I had come from a family of educators: my grandpa got his first teaching job at a rural school district in Iowa, while my mother (pictured on the right) started teaching at Twin Bridges School District in 1995.
After graduating from college, I found myself in Wisconsin. I had moved there on a whim and started working on Washington Island, an island in the middle of Lake Michigan. From there, I found my first teaching job in Greenwood, Wisconsin--a lovely farming community famous for Grassland Dairy, its butter factory. The Greenwood School District was incredibly kind to me, but something had been missing: I longed for mountains and proximity to family. When I saw the teaching vacancy at Sheridan High School, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me to get back home. |
